Never bleach white clothing that is polyester or a polyester cotton blend. Alternatively soaking your clothes in two slices of lemon and hot water should naturally brighten white clothes.

Even white fabrics made from natural fibers like cotton and linen can turn yellow if they are exposed to too much chlorine bleach.
